Microsoft’s Major Release "Windows 8" Coming in 2012!

After releasing powerful Windows 7, Microsoft has started working on next version of windows which is codenamed as ‘Windows 8′ at the moment. as you can see in the Roadmap, Windows 8 is mentioned as ‘Major Release’.



It would seem that Microsoft may be speeding up its product development cycle. A PDF leaked by Microsoft Ex-Employee with estimated product support life cycles, says:
Windows 8 released date leaked in 2010
Windows 8 in 2012
Windows 8 will have these four editions:
  1. Windows 8 Ultimate
  2. Windows 8 Professional
  3. Windows 8 Home Premium
  4. Windows 8 Cloud
  • Microsoft will stop support for Windows XP after 2014.
  • Microsoft will stop support for Windows Vista after the middle of 2017.
  • Microsoft will stop support for the powerful & stylish version of Windows 7 after the middle of 2019.
  • Microsoft will release Windows 8 RTM on July 2nd, 2011 & will stop support for Windows 8 after 2021.
  • Current Windows client support will be available up to 2021.
  • Office 2010 support will be available up to 2022.
